Ahead of the 2020 Republican National Convention, President Trump has released his agenda for 2020 if he is to be re-elected in November; and I wholeheartedly believe that any American, no matter their political spectrum, can look at this plan and say to themselves, "Hey, this plan is pretty good!"
Ever since the upset defeat for the Democrats in 2016, political tensions have only gotten higher, more tense, and in recent time has even led to violence in Democrat-run cities. The parties have only gotten more polarized, but the Republican Party has stayed pretty firm and hasn't moved much, it is instead the Democrats that has become more radical; and as Bernie Sanders said during the first day of the DNC, "Many of the ideas we fought for, that just a few years ago were considered 'radical,' are now mainstream." Nothing is too radical for the Democrats, as long as it gets them in the White House; looting, burning, killing, raping, rioting, and the list goes on and on, the Democrats will tolerate all of this for the sake of getting sleepy uncle Joe elected.
The Democratic Party has split into two factions, one moderate-left and one radical-left. Biden's campaign "strategy" and only chance of winning this election is to conform and get the radical vote; which means there's a large group of moderate Democrats that are being ignored, are scared because of the riots, and they are looking for a leader who knows how to lead and can actually give a speech live; so I won't be surprised to see a large amount of life-long Democrats who voted for Obama for both terms vote for Trump this upcoming election.
Trumps agenda can be accessed here, I won't be looking at everything, just the things that really stands out to me.
- Create 10 Million New Jobs in 10 Months
Absolutely 100% yes. Trump proved during his first tenure that he can bolster the American economy into unprecedented heights, so I believe that he can definitely achieve this goal.
- Develop a Vaccine by The End Of 2020, Return to Normal in 2021
With Operation Warp Speed, which is an operation to rapidly develop a vaccine to the China Virus, I definitely think we should have a vaccine relatively, and while I'm a bit skeptical of developing a vaccine by the end of 2020, I think returning to normal by 2021 is achievable.
- End Our Reliance On China
I've had it with China, everyone's had enough of China. We all secretly hate this communist piece of filth, so I'm especially looking forward to this if Trump gets re-elected; make America as energy independent and manufacturing independent as possible, and give Americans back their jobs. Biden also said during his DNC nomination speech that he'd end reliance on China too, one of the few smart things he said during his 47-year career, but I don't know if he'll stick by that.
- Protect Social Security and Medicare
This stands out a lot of me because a lot of people like to assume that because I'm a staunch conservative and Republican that I hate absolutely anything that has to do with socialism. But again, we're all rational people, so I understand that social programs must be enforced in order to help the needy; my family all use Medicare, so I think this is a smart decision.
- Teach American Exceptionalism
Very important right here. With government-funded and public schools many young Americans are discouraged very early on to think that America is a country riped with racism, bigotry, slavery, and imperialism. This needs to change. Not to say that we need to turn every class into a propaganda fuel-fest, but still make our children and the youth realize that Americans are the most prosperous and freest people on the planet, and that America is the only nation to be founded on the concept of liberty.
- Pass Congressional Term Limits
YES YES YES PLEASE! Congress is a goddamn swamp filled with old-raggedy politicians that don't have our best interests in mind, who have been in office for literal decades, and they have yet to pass any meaningful legislation. Passing term limits means electing bright young minds that has a deadline to pass important and necessary legislation; this helps both Democrats and Republicans. 100% in.
- Fully Fund and Hire More Police and Law Enforcement Officers
Whether you like it or not police is necessary, and defunding them is the opposite of what we need right now. What we do need is reform and better trained officers that don't feel as stressed at their job. By better training future police officers well and hiring more of them, they will become much more confident at their job, which means less bad apples and bad decisions.
- End Cashless Bail and Keep Dangerous Criminals Locked Up until Trial
I agree with the ending cashless bail part, but I want to see extremely fast access to a speedy trial if this is to be the case. Criminals or innocents can't be locked up for weeks without having access to a fair and speedy trial, so that's my only concern right there with this point.
- End Illegal Immigration and Protect American Workers
Heavily agree with this one. I'm not a racist, I don't hate immigrants, my whole family and I are immigrants after all, but we got into the United States the legitimate way. Rule of law must be enforced, if we allow illegal immigrants to just live in our country without any repercussions, then why would anyone even bother to use the system?
- Launch Space Force, Establish Permanent Manned Presence on The Moon and Send the First Manned Mission to Mars
Fantastic idea, Americans were the first to fly to the moon and walk on it, and we'll be the first one on Mars too. The Space Force is also a great idea, as space satellites are extremely important to troops on the ground, so protecting them is a good precaution.
- Win the Race to 5G and Establish a National High-Speed Wireless Internet Network
If we're going win the race to Mars, we might as well win the race to 5G also! Not absolutely critical, but it's nice to rub China's face in a little and show them that democracy and liberty will always prevail.
- Stop Endless Wars and Bring Our Troops Home
Donald Trump is one of the very few Presidents that hasn't started a war, and he hasn't escalated any wars either. Trump is determined to bring our troops home and stop all of this unnecessary fighting; he even passed a historic deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, leading to normalized relations and furthering peace in the Middle East.
- Build a Great Cybersecurity Defense System and Missile Defense System
In an age of increased cyberattacks, local and foreign, there needs to be an extremely large and robust Cybersecurity force in the United States Department of Defense. We can't have any foreign nations intervening and disrupting our fair and just elections. Sorry China and Russia. I'm less worried about missiles, but if he can do it then why the hell not.
Trump and the Republican Party Are Not Radicals
Everything I listed in the above section are all things that the majority of rational Americans can agree with, most of those points weren't even partisan issues, which leads me to my main argument: President Trump shouldn't be identified as a Republican, but rather as a conservative. This is important as this is no longer about hating the other side and trying to pass legislation that will harm the Democrats, but this is about keeping America as one of the greatest nations on Earth. By keeping this is mind, hopefully moderate-left Democrats will wake up and realize that they're not leaving the Democratic Party, but rather the Democratic Party has left them; the Democratic Party no longer supports these moderate and liberal-leaning ideas, they want to go big or go home. No more identity politics, stay-informed, stay educated in politics, and any American with a functioning brain will see that Trump has the interests of all Americans.
